Many people say, surprised, – but you look rather fit! - Without Lisa, my trainer I would look like a sack of potatoes, is my answer. I am 74 and have a lung illness which forces me to move slowly.I can’t do the walking and dancing I used to enjoy. Now I love the free movement dancing I do with Lisa, which I realize is a systematic working of the whole body in a mild way, to music we choose. We also do some boxing, which is more tough but short, rowing, which I loved in reality, work with weights, not fun but helpful and much more. Lisa is very sensitive to my needs and form for the day. Lisa’s repertoire of methods is wide and stimulating. She is professional in a personal way and she is warm, intelligent, sensitive and funny. I can’t visualize a person, problem or goal she wouldn’t work with in a good way! My goal was to keep as much mobility, flexibility and condition as possible. After six years working together I couldn’t be more content.

Although I walk a good deal (dog, shopping, etc) I know it's only exercising one particular set of muscles. I realised some years ago (my wife firmly pointed it out!) that I needed additional work to keep everything else in reasonable shape. I started doing regular training, and before long moved over to Lisa's program. That was five or six years ago. Now in my eighties, I wish it could have brought time to a dead stop. (Well we can all wish!) It hasn't done that, but I'm convinced that the regular workout has slowed time down by keeping me all round fitter than I should have been otherwise. The bonus is that it's also good fun, with Lisa's personality and her continually varied program. You can't ask better than that: it's fun and it works.

Hi Lisa I just wanted to say thank you. The op was much bigger and took a lot longer than they thought (growths were grapefruit sized). Huge scar :( However despite this I was discharged a day and a half early due to excellent progress they put down to the fact I did Pilates. The moving of limbs carefully and making sure you're stable before engaging in movement was automatic and as really helped my mobility. The physiotherapist said she had nothing to teach me and to just keep it up. I am still sore and obviously cant do much of anything for 6 weeks but I am looking forward to getting back to Pilates in the new year and will definitely sing its praises :)

Hi Lisa, Was great being back in class on Tuesday. Yeah! My left shoulder aches and pains had returned. After your class and some gardening on Tuesday, I am today pain free again. It just goes to show you must not molly coddle your pain, stretch through it (some were painful) but I knew I was going to get oxygen to all the areas that needed it and be pain free again. Thanks.

7 Day Smoothie Cleanse
