We are now almost through January and many of you have started or resumed your fitness regime, which is fantastic. However, there are equally as many of you who made the promise to start today, last Monday, the week before and the week before that, but still haven't!!
Why??
Do you have a valid excuse??
Should you really be making excuses??
What is your excuse??
Is it time?
If you really want to we can find the time to do it. Schedule exercise like you do a meal, a shower, the hoovering or watching your favourite TV program. Try to do short mini workouts that raise the heart rate and target large muscle groups too. 15 minutes a day is enough to begin to see results.
Is it cost?
If you really want to there are so many free ways to workout. Try following free workouts on websites, you tube, Facebook or going outdoors and cycling, walking, running, even playing with the kids. Getting fit doesn't have to be expensive.
Is it that it's not priority?
It should be! Without your health and fitness you are limited in so many ways and risk illness, immobility, premature ageing and much more.
Is it being too tired?
If you really want to you will discover that exercise gives you more energy. You will feel revitalised on those days when you feel sluggish and it will help you sleep better by night.
There are loads more excuses that could be listed..............yet that's just what they are, EXCUSES!
Start with small steps, move onto strides, leaps and jumps!! We all have to start somewhere.
Forget the excuses..........commit to start!!
Help friends and family to commit too!
